DANNY FINN 1 of 10
A New Seeker from May 1976 to August 1978. Born 30th March 1950 in Oxford as Kevin Scott. Danny is unique as a New Seeker as he already had a following with the group's fans when he joined the re formed line up in 1976. The group had gone their separate ways in May 1974 and Marty and Paul unhappy with the split had advertised for a third member to join them as a vocal trio. Danny joined them that Summer and they recorded and performed as Marty,Paul and Danny..MPD.
Danny had an impressive career in music having performed with 'The Times', created his own group Kevin Scott and the Kinsmen in the early sixties and then became lead singer of Wishfull Thinking releasing a fair ammount of singles between 1966 and 1971 when their main hit song 'Hiroshima' was recorded. This song would, over the next fifteen years receive numerous re-issues in Germany where it eventually became a surprise hit in 1975. At this point Danny was part of Marty,Paul and Danny who were issuing singles of their own so he found himself working similtaneously with the two groups. Although MPD's first single 'Coming Alive Again' was recorded 20th September 1974, due to the contractual issues following The New Seekers split, it was not released until 21st March 1975
