THE NEW SEEKERS
Biographies
Donna Jones
Donna Jones is no stranger to New Seekers audiences as she has been a member of the group since the late seventies. Donna started her singing career at the age of sixteen when she was part of a girl trio with former New Seeker Lyn Paul called " The Chrys-Do-Lyns ". After a short period the group split and Donna went solo where she was awarded " Best Female Singer " by Granada TV and landed a recording contract with MCA. Donna was approached by The New Seekers management to become lead singer with " Springfield Revival " who during the early 70's were extremely successful appearing on television shows such as " Morcambe and Wise ", " The Two Ronnies ", " Rolfe Harris " and many other variety shows in the UK. The group toured the world with The Osmonds appearing at Madison Square Gardens and the Academy Awards in Hollywood. Donna then went solo again and with the help of her good friend, producer and now her husband Mick Flinn, she enjoyed a number 1 hit in Australia and South Africa under the name of " Pussyfoot ". Donna retains a unique quality and strength to her voice, and is known in The New Seekers as the " little lady " with the " big voice ".
